6 Months Post Teacher Training

Welcome! If you're new here, I completed my second yoga teacher training in February 2025, following my first online training in February 2022. These milestones, three years apart, mark a significant part of my journey. Reflecting on this path, I see how beautifully everything has come together, even though some moments were challenging and tested my comfort. Emerging stronger and with greater mental resilience, I am grateful for the progress from where I started to where I am now. Despite this growth, I remain humble, grounded in realism, and open to all possibilities.

Six months ago, I had an incredible realization: I am the teacher I always dreamed of becoming! I can teach both brand new students and advanced learners, providing hands-on assistance whenever needed. I can say this with absolute confidence now! Previously, there was a tiny bit of uncertainty, but that’s completely gone. It wasn't that I doubted myself; I had amazing role models who inspired me. And even when we have those who inspire us, it's wonderful to recognize that we are just as fantastic in our own unique way. I realized that if they could do it, so could I. I am capable and more than able!

I had been instructing at a local studio for nearly eight years and had recently completed two months at a second studio. Leaving in the manner and timing that I did was never something I anticipated, yet as the saying goes, timing is everything. And I always said, when the timing is right, I will know when. Reflecting on this, it was exactly one year ago this August that I interviewed there, and now, precisely one year later, I am opening my own studio. I am genuinely amazed by this journey. I have so many ideas flowing to me, and I make sure to journal them all.

I truly love to write and see what I write down come to fruition. For the next 6 months, I will be teaching my own classes for my own business, Zen Bend Yoga at The Emerald Nook located here in Huntsville, AL. I am continuing to write down what I want to happen, with the steps and details to obtain it. I cannot wait to see what the next 6 months holds for Zen Bend Yoga.
